As a designer who makes pottery I explore putting images on clay. Using sgraffito and glaze colors, I create ornate, decorative, ceramic objects. I reference the decorative arts, narrative ceramics, Italian majolica, arts & crafts housewares, souvenir plates, graphic arts and woodcut illustration to turn every-day objects into something quirky and special. My subject matter include florals, animals and urban landscapes and draw from fables and the imagery of my everyday life.
